Q: Do you take reservations?
A: Yes, we do. Reservations make us very, very happy. They must be made by phone. And we recommend any group of 4 or more to always make a reservation: 651-641-1446

Q: Do you accommodate for special diets?
A: We do our best to accommodate for special diets. Vegetarians might like to try the salad with the doubles, gluten free eaters may like the BBQ pulled pork (sans-bun) served with cole slaw. Tostones are also gluten free and other menu items can be tweaked to suit your needs. Just ask your server. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate for severe food allergies.

Q: Is your food spicy like Mexican food?
A: No. Caribbean food is very different from Mexican food. Most of our dishes are mild to medium on the spiciness scale. Many traditional dishes of Puerto Rico and other islands in the Caribbean are not spicy, but rather, flavorful & well-seasoned.

That being said, if you like your food spicy or really hot, please ask to order a side of hot pepper sauce, or ask to try our complimentary house-made “Pique” which is a vinegar mixture infused with hot peppers, pineapple, and other ingredients. Spicy items are otherwise noted on our menu and our servers are happy to explain if you have any questions regarding menu items.

Q: How can I get a job at Caribe? Are you currently hiring?
A: When we need to hire cooks or servers, we post job listings on Craigslist.org

Q: Is Caribe a Puerto Rican restaurant?
A: Not exclusively. We are a Caribbean restaurant, and serve dishes inspired by islands across the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Trinidad, Cuba & others.

Q: Do you sell T-shirts at the restaurant?
A: We only sell our T-shirts at our online store.

Q: Can you cater my party?
A: Though we do not offer off-site catering, you may be able to book the restaurant during off-hours for a private event. Availability varies, so give us a call if you’re interested in setting up a special meal for your party. 651-641-1446

Q: Do you sell gift certificates?
A: Yes, we do! Gift certificates are available at the restaurant for any amount, or online here.
